Hey There

I'm very glad that your path has led to my page.  I hope the timing is serendipitous for you in gaining knowledge and insight to transform your own life as it has transformed mine.  We shall continue to learn and grow together!

All About Me

Even growing up in a loving family, I grew out of the cracks of childhood trauma and mental health and my bright light kept getting overshadowed by abusive relationships, poor boundary setting, chaos, and eventually addiction.  When my children were 2 months and almost 2 years old, we stayed at battered women and children's shelter for three months.  After which we moved on to public housing.  I thought that leaving the abuser was all I needed.  However, I kept repeating patterns of negative choices.  Things started to look up as I was awarded Responsible Parent of the Year in December, 2013 and graduated a program called Free Minds with straight As.  This program helps non-traditional students get into or back into college and is grounded in the humanities.  I had a vision and was feeling great.  However, parental burnout kicked in and those old negative patterned behaviors and choices flared back up, that's when I ended up in addiction towards the end of 2014.  Every day I am thankful that my addiction didn't last long at all, comparatively speaking, as it had gotten extreme fast.

September 18, 2018 is my sobriety date as I did relapse.  I got sober and I not only began my journey of sobriety with a 12-step program and proper mental health medication but also with researching how to change my negative habitual behaviors.  I did a lot of reading and implemented just about everything I devoured and found what worked and what didn't.  I went from being a person who was never on time, would forget everything, was unhappy, and filled with anxiety, fear, and shame, to someone who has a bundle of enthusiastic optimism, is extremely organized in ways that allowed me to achieve merits such as becoming a member of two honor's societies (Phi Theta Kappa & Alpha Sigma Lambda), a Dean's list recipient, and am actually early 98% of the time.  This was while obtaining my AA in Psychology and my BAAS in Leadership & Development.  I learned how to achieve balance in my life and am virtually stress free in the face of life's continued challenges.

My vision has been to help others create their own purposeful life by, first, breaking the negative habitual patterns by creating new ones.  This is the basis of rewiring our brains to create lasting change in our perceptions, attitudes, and reactions in life.

My mission is dedicated to empowering people to lead balanced and authentic lives.  By concentrating on developing self-awareness, breaking free from negative cycles, unlocking one's potential, and achieving goals that resonate with their deepest values, these individuals can transcend into their vision of a purposeful life.
